Whole 30 Food Journal for May 18, 2012

by Court under Journal

Notes: I’m feeling way better on day 5 than I was feeling on days 1 and 2. The first few days were rough – probably because I ate a lot of sugar during and after my honeymoon. My body is starting to forget about sugars which is really nice. This is of course why I wanted to do a Whole 30 – my sugar intake was starting to spiral.

My fat intake for breakfast today was pretty high. Didn’t want to throw out the sausage that’s already cooked. It isn’t a big deal but usually I like to use lean ground beef, turkey, or chicken instead so I don’t eat so much fat. There’s enough in the eggs and the small amount of clarified butter I cook them in to keep me satiated for hours and hours.

9:00 a.m.
3 brazil nuts
4 whole medium sized eggs
1 tsp. clarified butter
4 oz. pork sausage
1 handful of sugar snap peas

16 oz. water

2:00 p.m.
12 oz. baked salmon
1/2 head cauliflower (mashed)
1 T butter
2 handfuls of sugar snap peas
6 mini carrots
1 small handful of raspberries
16 oz. water

5:00 p.m.
4 capsules fish oil (1200 mg each)
16 oz. water

8:00 p.m.
Beef enchiladas

11:30 p.m.
3 brazil nuts
2 T coconut butter (I’m an addict)
