Whole 30 Journal for June 1, 2012 (Day 19)
by Court under Journal
I did great eating today. I stuck to the plan and didn’t eat extra fruit. Two weeks ago I was addicted to snacking on coconut butter – fortunately I broke that habit and then started eating too much fruit. I’ve been great for the last two days with that and have stuck to the Whole 30 recommendation of eating two servings per day.
On Friday nights, I usually go to a competitors’ class at the CrossFit gym where I work out. I also workout during the regular class, which means I work out at 5:30 and 6:30. Since I had to recover from my first workout in time for my second (a half hour later), I took a 20 oz. coconut water and drank it. Since I drank it within 30 minutes of my first workout (was actually within 2 minutes), my muscles sucked it right up. I felt great for the second workout and didn’t get a sugar high from the sugar.
